Last night's plans...

another reminder of why I shouldn't post early! The best laid plans...

Dinner was later than I wanted due to me not planning enough time - but it was delicious when finished! Bath was good, Madagascar 1 in ENGLISH was great and Genya was in bed by 9pm... But he wouldn't fall asleep! He managed to break two wheels off his brand new toy car and had to call me in his room every time to tell me - then he got up for the bathroom at least 3 or 4 times and then reported some other things I have no idea of what. Finally, probably about 10pm he fell sound asleep! Guess I won't worry about adjusting for any time change - he'll sleep when his body says to sleep!

Brian and I watched "Fried Green Tomatoes" - it had been awhile since I saw that movie and enjoyed seeing it again. Brian had never seen it and said "well, it was better than I thought it would be"! :)

This morning Genya woke up at his normal 7:15am -- I enjoy watching him watch the cartoons and responding to them (smiling, laughing, talking to the TV) because the first few days he was here there was no expression at all - none!

All for now - more report this evening!

Rain, then sleet, then snow yesterday and last night. Roads were fine this morning. The slotcar track is still up from Saturday night's racing. JJ did pretty well against the house points leader, Pete. He'll have to tell you about it. Have a great day!

Nathan is most certainly sensing your excitement and picking up on your anticipation about the next few days - kids are amazing that way! We think that we are concealing emotions but there is that special connection with loved ones we have bonded with - oops, dangling prep. LOL JJ was bouncing off the wall last night after we visited with you on the Web cam - he liked sending the emoticons for Nathan - I hope they didn't scare him! JJ finally settled down for sleep but was STARVING! But happy...mom
