And Genya's passport is registered!

Philip did get it stamped at the Russian Consulate today so that is all handled. Only our required post-placement reports to come in the months ahead (3 total at scheduled times). Whew - we have the passport in hand and it's almost at the end... We are ready and so is Genya! He told Philip, literally (in Russian), that we were "rejoicing because we will be going to America". We say "America!" and then we high-five...

Philip's wife was sick this morning so she couldn't take us on our tour - I asked him this afternoon how she was doing and he said he found out she's pregnant! Their second - their son is 5! I said I almost asked him that but of couse hadn't LOL

We walked alot today -- Genya had a little headache when we got back so I gave him some children's aspirin and water and now he's his normal self...

Our flight arrangement for anyone in the Chicago area who wants to come meet us (LOL) - we're on American Airlines flight # 0159 arriving Chicago 4:30pm 3/22 - we will have to do immigration and customs once we arrive. But if you can't meet us you can watch the flight on the internet (like flightracker or such) and see where we are... We'll hopefully be sleeping for part of it!

Keep commenting and emailing us - we check it often here at the hotel!

It almost seems unreal. It just goes against this whole process for you to have so many things go right without a problem of some sort thrown in as a challenge to your faith and temperment.

As I type this, if I am calculating correctly, it is about 5:30 pm in Moscow on Friday evening. Your time can now be calculated in double digit hours instead of days, weeks and months. What joy will fill your hearts as those airplane wheels leave the runway in Moscow. I don't remember if you mentioned earlier where your connecting flight will be through. What time do you leave Moscow?

Our hearts will be in Chicago on Sunday and I'll be thinking of you non-stop proably from mid-afternoon on. Sending you a high 5 right from America to add to the celebration and anticipation there in Moscow.

YAY! Too bad you're not flying in to Madison "International " Airport. We are happy to hear your long journey is almost over and a new one commencing. Now the cul-de-sac has four boys between the ages of 5 and 9 (?) Watch out S. Lane! :)
Something I should have asked long ago is how do you pronounce "Genya"? I have been saying the G as in "again" but would it be as in "Jen"? I assume the Y is "ya". Haven't much knowledge of Russian pronunciations. :0

Happy first day of Spring, supposed to be nice when you fly in (somewhat). At least no 20" blizzard to top off (and fall right in line with all that has happened) your journey. :)

Enjoy the Moscow Zoo tomorrow. Hope you are able to post some pics later. Will be interesting to see how it compares to the MKE Zoo.

Praying for a safe and uneventful trip home for all of you! Hope the Grandparents can keep JJ from jumping off the walls too much :) We are also looking forward to pics of the two brothers meeting and being together.

The only song that comes to my mind is from many years ago " leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again" Soon this will all be a memory and everyday life will resume. We miss you all and we are looking forward to your return. By the way it there was a dusting of snow this morning.

Have a great flight!
