I have a nice report for today typed up but having to use a public computer I'm not used to and a program I'm not used to and other problems this will not be what I planned.
Things are ok but we got a call from Philip the coordinator here that he's concerned because Nathan's passport doesn't list his middle name in english (ony russian) and the embassy is being very picky about details right now - they might want us to redo his passport! Philip will argue his best tomorrow when he presents the paperwork but some extra prayers about this - and this is our USA gov't who might question it! - would be appreciated!!!
Otherwise I'll try to do the other posting when I'm more awake... but we're all here and fine. Mom, the phone number here is (7) 495-937-00-50 - so use the other instructions but this number now and then ask for our room... we're registered under our name...
I am going to email the travel agent now tho, Philip said to go ahead and try to book home for Saturday -- but again, an extra prayer for us would be most welcome!

PRAYING PRAYING AND PRAYING!!!
Of course we're praying.
Any idea why the embassy is being "picky" "right now"?
I would hope that since it is an American issue, the passport may be acceptable as is. After all you are an American. Would it help to go to the American Consulate in Moscow if the say you have to get a new passport? They may be able to make a few calls and straighten it out. Just remember you are all healthy and you have Nathan. "This too will pass".

We continue to pray for you....for safe travels, for someone to say the passport is fine as is, for a pleasant stay in Moscow, and for a fast plane ride home when you are able to leave Russia.

Praying here in MA~
You want prayers, you got 'em. I haven't stopped since I heard the passport was in. (What do you mean because his middle name is in Russian? Aren't you keeping his original name as his middle name?) I pray this is going to work out quickly. God be with you all!

Is this an Embassy thing, or an INS (USCIS) thing? Ya know, some people don't have middle names! It might be easier to get a new birth certificate issued to match the passport than the other way around.
I am mad and sick of it all for you! Praying!
It almost seems like you are the test case in all areas of this adoption. Seems to me some of those seemingly minor details (details none the less I know but you have overcome so many much bigger than this)would not be an issue. Best to make sure all the "i's" are dotted and "t's" are crossed before leaving. I am sure your desire to visit the region again is pretty far in the future. On the brighter side, you at least are in new surroundings and have new avenues to explore. Will be interested to hear how the plane ride was.
Anxiously waiting to hear your ticket to Chicago has been booked. Praying that will be in one of the very next postings.

Oh my goodness!!! Couldn't something go smoothly?!?!? This too shall pass...SOON!!!
Praying for you every step of the way. Remember, whatever comes, God is already there and waiting to help. May He grant you a safe and happy return to your families.
Looking forward to seeing all of you!
